Born in Exeter Herbert painted many scenes of Devon and his pictures are imbued with a real sense of light and colour with fantastic blues, somewhat in the style of F J Widgery.
This particular painting is inscribed verso (as he often did) with the title of the work, in this case 'The Dart'.
Unframed this is sold in a new acid free mount sized 11" x 15"
